<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small-sized frequency multiplier with low power consumption that copes with a wide frequency range. <P>SOLUTION: A frequency multiplier is provided with: a differential signal generating circuit 2 that receives a single-phase input signal and generates two signals whose frequency is the same frequency as that of the input signal and whose phases differ from each other by 180 degrees; and a rectifying/ synthesizing circuit 3 which amplifies two signals outputting from the differential signal generating circuit at every half cycle of the equal polarity respectively to each by applying a half-wave rectification, synthesizes and outputs them. The frequency multiplier obtains signal with a frequency twice that of the input signal from the rectifying/synthesizing circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
