PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver having an analog tuner and a digital tuner for preventing an interference between the tuners. SOLUTION: When a channel selecting command on digital broadcast channels is received from a remote control, the selection process of the digital broadcast channel instructed by the selection command is carried out in a digital tuner 2. The broadcast receiver 30 is put in a digital broadcast receiving and image displaying state by the digital tuner 2. In the analog tuner 17 at this time, a local oscillation frequency at the audio-visual viewing channel is not held but changed into a frequency for selecting 125CH as an uppermost CATV channel, so that an interference to the digital tuner 2 can be prevented.
