PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel selecting method of a high frequency receiver for selecting the given number of PLL circuits by using the smaller number of addresses, and utilizing the addresses more effectively in the system. SOLUTION: When a PLL circuit 7 is selected in a tuner 2, integrated circuit chips 3 and 4 are selected by using a chip address A1, and then the PLL circuit 7 is selected by using a PLL address B1. When a PLL circuit 8 is selected in the same tuner 2, the PLL circuit 8 is selected by using the same chip address A1 and a PLL address B2. In this way the same chip address is used when each PLL circuit is selected in the same tuner, so the number of chip addresses can be reduced, and there are no lack of addresses in the system.
