The support, designed to prevent flexing of a roof supporting lintel in a lightweight structure such as a veranda or similar with sliding doors (3, 4) in a metal frame (10), consists of a locking wedge (27, 28) installed at the upper and lower end of each of the frame's uprights (A, B) adjacent to the doors. The wedges ensure that the weight of the lintel and roof is transmitted directly to the ground via the uprights.
