<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element and an organic electroluminescence display panel having a high shielding ability and less likely to deteriorate in the light emitting characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence panel having an electroluminescence element including a first and second electrodes and one or more organic function layer composed of layered organic compounds interposed between the first and second electrodes, and a substrate supporting the electroluminescence element, comprises a polymer compound film covering the electroluminescence element and the surface of the substrate therearound, and an inorganic barrier layer covering the polymer compound film, the peripheral portion thereof, and the surface of the substrate therearound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
