PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner safe for a human body and having wear resistance and to provide a toner for an electrophotographic photoreceptor, the toner preventing changes in the electrification characteristics which are problems relating to durability characteristics, preventing filming on a photoreceptor, a developing roller, a doctor roller or the like and giving a high-quality image without deteriorating the picture quality. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner has a layer comprising fullerene and/or carbon nanotubes in the inner part of the toner particle surface formed by implanting at least one kind or more of fullerene and/or carbon nanotubes into the surface of the toner particle comprising at least a resin, a pigment and a charge controlling agent, and has a surface coating layer by coating the layer of fullerene and/or carbon nanotubes with an additive.
