PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device which can transmit a stable driving force to a film without reference to the position of the film. SOLUTION: The sleeve heat type heating device has an endless belt type heat-resisting sleeve, a heating body arranged inside the sleeve, and a pressure member rotationally driven in a recorded material transport direction by a driving means while making the sleeve internal surface slide on the heating body surface and guides a recorded material to between a sleeve external surface of a pressure nip part and the pressure member to pass the recorded material through the pressure nip part together with the sleeve and thus imparts the heat energy of the heating body to the recorded material through the sleeve. The sleeve heat type heating device is provided with a gear A which is arranged nearby the sleeve and connected to a driving source, a gear B which engages the gear A, a gear case which holds the gears A and B so that the gear B freely rotate around the gear A, and a roller which is provided coaxially with the gear B and pressed against the sleeve by the rotation of the gear A.
