<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing as methane- enriched gas stably from kerosene or light oil at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: Kerosene gas vaporized in a kerosene vaporizer 16, where the waste heat from the cathode of a molten carbonate fuel cell 34 is used as a heat source, is mixed with hydrogen gas from a hydrogen gas supplying unit 17, which is then desulfurized in a desulfurizer 18. The deslufurized kerosene gas is mixed with the steam generated by a waste heat recovery boiler 25 and the mixture is heated to the reaction temperature of a reactor 31 by a gaseous raw material heater 30, which is then supplied to the reactor 31. The methane-enriched gas is produced from the supplied gas in the reactor 31 by reforming reaction and methanation reaction caused simultaneously by a nickel catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
