<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating pump capable of detecting the malfunction of suction and discharge of the fluid such as a lack of the oil and a clogging of an outlet using an in expensive detecting means under the relatively simple structure, preventing receiving of a bad influence due to air bubbles contained in the fluid, reducing the noise caused by an external vibration, improving certainty and accuracy of the malfunction detection and securely preventing problem such as leakage of the fluid to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The reciprocating pump is provided with the malfunction detecting means consisting of a piezoelectric element (250) detecting pressure fluctuation on the discharge side so as to detect whether the malfunction of suction and discharge of the fluid is caused or not. The pressure fluctuation of the fluid discharged from a discharge port (117) is directly transmitted to the piezoelectric element (250) through a pressure receiving member (180) consisting of a rigid body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
