PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete block for a civil engineering structure capable of forming a space for placing filling concrete easily, facilitating work for adjusting unevenness, and confirming a situation for placing filling concrete easily. SOLUTION: A basic body 2 formed into substantially rectangular shape is provided, and recessed parts 3 directed toward the outside are formed in at least three sections in an outer peripheral fringe part of the basic body. Brackets 4 extended toward the outside are provided in these recessed parts, and height adjusting members 5 for adjusting an interval between a surface of slope and the basic body 2 are attached to these brackets by abutting on the surface of slope. Each recessed part is formed at a position where a through hole for seeing a lower part of the concrete block is formed on a face formed by the concrete block by opposing adjacent recessed parts of the basic body mutually when the basic body is spread along the surface of slope.
