PURPOSE:To suction remove effectively fine magnetic particles in air by dispos ing a permanent magnet in a prefilter of an air cleaner. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic filter section is constituted by clamping a bar-shaped permanent magnet 27 with given intervals between an upstream side cotton-like filter layer 24 and a downstream side cotton-like filter layer 25, in both of which active carbon particles 23 are dispersed respectively, in a filter 20. Net- shaped bodies 28, 28 are laminated on both of upper and lower faces of the section, and a laminate is stitched together by a yarn and integrated, and the outer periphery of the laminate is encircled by a frame 30 of an almost U-shaped section opened in the inner side direction and the outer periphery is clamped to constitute a prefilter 20 of an integrated cassette type. Air sucked into a main filter can be filtrated preliminarily by the arrangement, and particularly iron powder, fine magnetic particles and the like suspended in air can be suction removed by the permanent magnet 27 coated with a magnetic substance 26 on the magnetic filter section. |
