PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether a subject can be acquired or not before three- dimensional information is acquired without complicated operation by a user. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional information acquiring apparatus comprises a three-dimensional input unit 4 for acquiring the three-dimensional information of the subject by using an optical means, a horizontal plane measuring range specifying unit 1 for specifying a maximum measuring range of a range which can acquire the three-dimensional information in a horizontal plane direction by the input unit 4, a vertical direction measuring range specifying unit 2 for similarly specifying the maximum measuring range of the range which can acquire the three-dimensional information in a vertical plane direction, and an opening 3 for inputting/outputting the subject (a) into the range which can acquire the three-dimensional information by the unit 4.
