<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for wiring an optical communication cable to a building, enabling easy and sure wiring work by directly connecting the coated optical fiber or coated optical fiber tape of an optical communication main cable to a wiring box. <P>SOLUTION: The method for wiring the optical communication cable to the building comprises: an optical communication main cable installing process for installing the optical communication main cable for which many coated optical fibers are covered with a sheath so as to be suspended from the upper floor of the building to the lower floor; a sheath cutting and removing process for forming a branch part by cutting and removing the sheath of the optical communication main cable so as to wire the optical fiber of the optical communication main cable to the wiring box installed on a required floor and forming the cutting part of the coated optical fiber by cutting and removing the sheath of the optical communication main cable at a part almost the same or more than a wiring dimension from the branch part to the wiring box; a branching and connecting process for cutting the required optical fiber at the cutting part after the sheath cutting and removing process, pulling out the cut optical fiber from the branch part and connecting it to the wiring box; and a covering process for covering the sheath removed part of the cutting part and the branch part after the branching and connecting process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
