<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a printer possible to download and print the information of a home page by designating the URL of the home page from an information terminal such as a mobile terminal to the printer. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 30 connectable to the Internet and an LAN is provided with a function as a web server, a home page for displaying an operation screen or an address input screen through an LAN on an information terminal 50, and a proxy server function, and a function for downloading and providing the information of the home page on the Internet to an information terminal 50 accessed from the LAN side. The information terminal inputs the address of a desired home page to the printer, and the printer retrieves a designated address, and the web server 20 downloads the information of the home page.
