PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a paper feeding means for delivering paper sheets from a paper sheet cassette one by one, preventing a problem such as the overlapped feeding or a paper jam by selectively using a paper sheet separation mechanism to a medium to be used. SOLUTION: The paper sheet separation mechanism disposed inside an image forming device body can be easily attached/detached to/from the device body or the paper sheet cassette. When inserting the paper sheet cassette having the paper sheet separation mechanism different from the paper sheet separation mechanism provided in the device body into the body, the paper sheet separation mechanism on the body side is evacuated to stop a function.
