The hood-shaped body (1) of cap contains a bottom section (2) and edge section (3), on which are formed several protrusions insertable clampingly on an object (4). The protrusions are in form of spacers so that between the edge section and object is formed a gap (6). Typically the cap is made of metal, e.g. of deep drawn metal strip, with wall thickness of 10 to 5000 microm, preferably 30 to 2000 microm. The edge section may have an annular cross-section with at least three protrusions. The object may be ceramic body. Independent claims are included for a unit of a cap and a ceramic body.
