<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard with a pointing device having excellent operability without imposing a burden on an operator's fingertip even under use for many hours. <P>SOLUTION: This keyboard 1 with the pointing device is constituted by fitting a keyboard 14 into an infrared frame 2. An infrared region 9 with a plurality of infrared rays passing longitudinally and laterally, intersecting each other is formed above the keyboard 14 in the infrared frame 2. When a prescribed position p in a predetermined pointing operation region 17 of the infrared region 9 is touch-operated with the fingertip 16, a pointer 15 is displayed in the corresponding position P on a display screen 13a.
