PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition achieving flame retardancy of the UL94V-0 level with halogen-free compounds, substantially suppressing lowering of the elastic modulus in the high-temperature range equal to or higher than the glass transition temperature and permitting formation of laminates having high flame retardancy, heat resistance and joining reliability. SOLUTION: The composition comprises an epoxy resin, a compound of formula (1) and/or (2) wherein, R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>3</SB>are each an allyl group and/or a glycidyl ether group; and R<SB>4</SB>to R<SB>6</SB>are each an aromatic group), an epoxy silane oligomer and a hardening agent.
