PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing an array-like plastic optical element composed of a non-transmission part and a transmission part of high resolution and high light utilization ratio (brightness), wherein a dimension between lens pitches is 1 mm or smaller, numeric aperture is 90% or greater and high shape precision of a lens is 0.1μm or less. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a composite optical element composed of the light transmission part having a mirror face and the non-light transmission part absorbing light at a region between the adjacent light transmission part and of its periphery, comprises: (1) a primary processing process for injecting and molding a substantially final shape provided with the light transmission part and the non-light transmission part; (2) a secondary processing process for narrowing a non-light transmission part region; (3) and a third processing process for transferring a mirror shape on a light transmission part surface.
