PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the fixing of a faucet metal fitting even with a narrow housing chamber space in the rear of a front plate in a faucet metal fitting to be fixed to the front plate formed in the rear of the counter of a washstand or sink. SOLUTION: This faucet metal fitting 8 comprises a valve mechanism 10 for adjusting the temperature and flow rate of water and hot water and a body 13 having a valve chamber 14 for integrating the valve mechanism 10 formed therein, the body 13 having a base part 16 formed in opposition to the valve chamber 14, and the base part 16 having connecting ports 18, 21 and 24 for connecting a water feed pipe 20, a hot water feed pipe 23, and a supply pipe 26, respectively. This metal fitting is fixed to the front plate 4 formed in the rear of the counter 2 of a washstand A or sink. Each connecting port 18, 21, 24 of the base part 16 is opened in a direction crossing the axial direction of the valve chamber 14, and the base part 16 is opposed to the housing chamber 7 in the rear of the front plate 4.
