PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste plastic combustion burner for an electric furnace capable of charging the waste plastic of several dozen-mm, simplifying the preprocessing equipment for thermally recycling the waste plastic, and remarkably reducing the equipment cost. SOLUTION: In this waste plastic combustion burner mounted on a furnace wall or a furnace lid of the electric furnace used in fusing a metallic material and/or refining molten metal, a channel for spurting oxygen for scrap cutting is formed on a central part, a channel for spurting a fuel and a channel for spurting oxygen for combusting fuel are formed on its outer periphery, a combustion space is formed between a tip of a nozzle of the burner and the electric furnace chamber, and a helical blade is mounted on an inner wall of the combustion space.
