When a content delivery request is made by a user terminal (2), a delivery center (1) downloads/starts an installation program to the user terminal (2). When the installation is complete, the installation program reports the completion to the delivery center (1) and rental information is recorded in a rental database (12). When returning the content, an uninstallation program is downloaded/started to the user terminal (2). When the uninstallation is complete, the uninstallation program reports the completion to the delivery center (1) and it is recorded in the rental database (12) that the rental information has been returned.
