PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of a poly-lactic acid having high transparency, high resistances to water, solvents and chemicals, a high filling effect, high storage stability with little precipitation during long storage, ease of application and impregnation, high biodegradability and good film-forming and adhering properties at low temperatures, and a fine particle and a film formed by drying the dispersion. SOLUTION: The dispersion comprises a poly-lactic acid type polyester polymer of a mol ratio, L/D, of L-lactic acid units to D-lactic acid units of 4/96 to 96/4.
