<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target identifying apparatus that can identify a target objective (the kind and the action object of target), without using an observed value in the past in which the target objective was confirmed, even when information for the identification is not available. <P>SOLUTION: An unconfirmed target record D4a comprising a target behavior characteristic time series 16 for specifying a behavior of the target based on an observed data of items about the behavior of the target and a shape of the target, and comprising a reception shape characteristic integration 17 for specifying a change of a shape characteristic of the target is generated, a case record D4b having a prescribed value or more of similarity among the unconfirmed target records D4a with respect to the identified target is extracted out of the case records D4b provided by observation in the past, the behavior of the target for simulation is simulated according to the target behavior characteristic time series 16 for the identified target, so as to generate a simulated case record D6, and the target objective of which the similarity with respect to the unconfirmed target records D4a comes to the prescribed value or more is determined as an identified result, using the simulated case record D6 and the case record D4b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
