PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying pad for a platelike object which receives and carries the platelike object such as a liquid crystal substrate to be used in an electronic machine in particular, a light guide plate of a liquid crystal module or the like, can structurally rigidly carry a large-sized plate of 5 inches or more with large flexibility as well as a small-sized plate in a large quantity without damage due to vibration, impact or the like, can be packed simply and reliably, is easy to manufacture, can be mass-produced and is inexpensive in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The carrying pad is formed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet by thermoforming such as vacuum molding. It comprises a plurality of boxes 1 formed into a box with an approximately L-shaped cross section comprising a bottom plate 2 and a back plate 3 exhibiting an approximately rectangular form and intersected with an appropriate angle, a left side plate 4 and a right side plate 5 with an approximately triangular side face to be placed on both the left and right sides, a coupling plate 6 foldably connected between connecting ends of the boxes, and an appropriate number of platelike insertion grooves 7 provided in an L-shape on internal walls of the bottom plate and the back plate of the box respectively.
