<p>A reactor ferments and converts solid organic residues and animal slurry to methane. The solids are held at readiness in a silo (7) pit which is especially on and in the ground and discharges solids via a batch-weighing unit (8) and conveyer belt (10) to the reactor. The biogas generator has a fermentation reactor which receives a regulated supply of animal slurry, and a weighed batch-supply of solid organic wastes e.g. chicken feces. The silo (7) is a trough-like, rectangular, elongated large pit whose upper edge is at road level (14). The pit base has a conveyer belt which moves incoming refuse towards a large shredder mill which discharges to a conveyer belt (10).</p> |
