A flame-retardant aromatic polycarbonate resin composition which comprises (A) an aromatic polycarbonate resin (component A), (B) an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer (component B), (C) an inorganic filler (component C), (D) an organophosphorus flame retardant (component D), and (E) a fluorine -containing anti-dropping agent (component E) in specified proportions and which is characterized by satisfying the requirement that the component (C) should comprise (C1) mica and (C2) talc and/or wollastonite at a specific ratio; and articles molded from the composition. The invention provides a lightweight resin composition which is excellent in mechanical characteristics, flame retardance, and dimensional stability, and little causes a mold to wear out; and molded articles thereof.
