<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in toner consumption and soiling of the interior of the device with scatter of unnecessary toner by preventing an unnecessary toner image from being formed due to an electrostatic latent image which occurs when the scanning reference position detecting means is initialized. <P>SOLUTION: When an electrostatic latent image formed by the initialization of a scanning reference position detecting means reaches a developed position, the electrophotographic device decreases a development bias voltage for use in the development of an electrostatic latent image with toner to a level at which a toner image is not developed, thereby preventing toner from being attached to the electrostatic latent image formed by the initialization of the scanning reference position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
