PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy plate for building material which has excellent appearance and antidazzle characteristic at a reduced cost and a method of manufacturing the aluminum alloy plate with the consideration of environmental problem. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy plate 1 for building material has an alumite coating film 3 formed at least one surface of the aluminum alloy plate 2 and the thickness of the alumite coating film 3 is controlled to 1-6μm, the center line average surface roughness Ra in a direction vertical to the rolling direction of the aluminum alloy plate 2 is controlled to 0.3-2.0μm and the L*a<SB>u</SB>*b* value of the surface regulated by JIS Z8729 is controlled respectively to 80<L*<90, -1.0<a*<0, -0.5<b*<1.0. The aluminum alloy plate 1 is manufactured using a recycled metal of an aluminum alloy recycled from a packing vessel material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
