Timepiece, especially a wristwatch, has a date changing mechanism that enables a large format figure display with figures that change instantaneously at the end of a day. The invention is also suitable for a perpetual time display with days and months. Moon phases can also be displayed. Watch comprises an hour indicator wheel (1), a date wheel with 31 teeth (7) and a unit wheel (12) with 30 teeth. It further comprises wheels, stars, drives, cams and springs and levers as well as a sensor for detecting the position of the year cam.
