The power scattered pilot signals is calculated (14), and its variance is compared with a threshold value (15). If the variance is high, it is assumed that the receiver is moving; if it is low, that the receiver is stationary. In the former case, interpolation is made using splines (17), and in the latter, by means of low-pass filtering (12).
