PURPOSE: A method for insulating backlight electrodes of a liquid crystal display device is provided to simplify the insulaton of electrodes by forming an insulating layer after forming electrode connection lines to the electrodes, and prevent the generating of pin-hole by increasing the contact area between the electrodes and the electrode connection lines, thereby improving the reliability of lamps. CONSTITUTION: In a method for insulating backlight electrodes of a liquid crystal display device, electrodes(22) are formed of a conductive material at both ends of a lamp(21) and attached with electrode connection lines(23) for the power supply, and retraction tubes(24) formed of an insulating material surround the electrode connection lines and the electrodes. The electrode connection lines are fixed and closely contact the electrodes by heating the retraction tubes. While heating the retraction tubes, the retractions are bent by a desired angle within the range of 0-90° according to the use of the backlight. |
