In a security apparatus built in a car audio apparatus mounted on a car, the effectiveness of security of the car audio apparatus is retained while improving the efficiency of adjustments and operation checks of car audio apparatuses before shipment in a car audio manufacture factory. If security data is not registered in a non-volatile memory of the security apparatus, the car audio apparatus is allowed to be operable for a predetermined time period after the power is supplied to the car audio, and is made inoperable after the lapse of the predetermined time period. The adjustments and operation checks are completed in the predetermined operable time period. And also, in the case that the non-volatile memory storing the security data is dismounted or replaced with another memory by the robber, since the car audio apparatus becomes inoperable after the predetermined time period lapse, a value of robbery can be extinguished. |
