PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fluid separation filter with a high filtration rate which suppresses generation of a crack on the filter. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the fluid separation filter is characterized by fabricating sol containing at least a kind of metal out of Si, Ti, Zr, and Al and polyvinylpyrrolidinone, applying the sol on a surface of a supporting body 2 and subsequently baking the applied sol so as to form a separation membrane 3 or by fabricating the sol containing at least a kind of metal out of Si, Ti, Zr, and Al and polyvinylpyrrolidinone, applying the sol on the surface of the supporting body 2, subsequently baking the applied sol so as to form an intermediate layer 5 and subsequently forming the separation membrane 3 on the intermediate layer 5.
