PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a prophylactic/therapeutic agent for arteriosclerosis. SOLUTION: The method for screening a compound or its salt for controlling expression fluctuation of an arteriosclerosis-related gene by modified LDL, a low-molecular compound or a protein contained in the modified LDL comprises using the arteriosclerosis-related gene. The kit for the screening the compound or its salt is provided. The compound or its salt for controlling the expression fluctuation of the arteriosclerosis-related gene obtained by using the screening method or the screening kit is obtained.
