METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF ANTIBACTERIAL PERFORMANCE OF AIR CONDITIONING FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the evaluation of the antibacterial performance of air-conditioning facilities to evaluate the performance in the real working environment and grasp the decrease of the number of bacterial cells with time. SOLUTION: A test machine 1A treated with an antibacterial agent and a contrast machine 1B free from the antibacterial treatment are prepared beforehand. A definite quantity of bacterial liquid is applied to a prescribed surface position of each machine, the air conditioners are operated and the antibacterial performance of the agent is evaluated by the variations of the number of live bacterial cells in the test machine 1A and the contrast machine 1B. The number of live cell colonies are counted at the start of the evaluation test, at the end of the test and one or more points during the test to grasp the change of the number of the live cells with time.
