METAL CYLINDRICAL BODY, AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and high-accuracy metal cylindrical body which can be used as a photoreceptor roller or a fixing roller for an electrophotographic printer or a copying machine.

SOLUTION: A metallic material having heat conductivity and high durability is used for a metal cylindrical body for a photoreceptor and for fixing, and a thickness detection sensor is provided for detecting the thickness of the metallic material. Thereby, metallic material is worked into a metal cylindrical body with thickness at a tolerance of ±2.5 μm by a spinning method which is a rotational plastic working method.
