PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly detect and determine normality or anomaly of a counted number of game media without intervening a central control device by directly comparing and collating a cumulative number of game media calculated in a game machine side with an actual number of game media calculated in a game medium counter side. SOLUTION: The game medium counting system has a plurality of game machines 1a-1n and the game medium counter 20 counting the game media used in the game machines. Each game machine 1 and the game medium counter 20 are communicably connected via radio. Each game machine 1 is provided with a game machine body 2 for carrying out a game, and a machine terminal 10 calculating the cumulative number of game media used during the game of the game machine body 2 and sending it to the game medium counter 20. The game medium counter 20 is provided with a counting means for counting the number of game media, and a control means for controlling the counting means so it can count in each game unit and comparing and determining the number of game media counted by the counting means regarding a corresponding game.
