<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for treating sewage by using B-NP fixed body are provided in which microbial biomass (sludge) adhered to yarn and filament of the B-NP fixed body exists as aerobic bacteria and anaerobic bacteria to aerobically oxidation degrade organic matter in the sludge by the aerobic bacteria and anaerobically digest the organic matter by anaerobic bacteria. CONSTITUTION: In a sewage treatment apparatus comprising at least one or more of aeration tanks(14,16,18) for discharging water purified by performing aeration treatment on the agitated mixture to almost satisfy biological oxygen demand after agitating influent sewage along with activated sludge and using the activated sludge process, the apparatus is characterized in that the aeration tanks comprise a B-NP (bio-nutrient purifier) fixed body(2) which is movably fixed in the water contained in the aeration tanks, and which is formed of polypropylene resin as a porous material integrated by fusion molding reciprocal contact points of bulk type filaments stacked with being entangled as curling a yarn formed in a filament shape by heating thus melting thermoplastic synthetic resin and spinning starting from nozzle using the molten resin, which is formed in various shapes, which has a porosity of about 80 to 98%, and in which the filament yarn has diameter of 1 to 2 mm, and the bulk type filaments has specific gravity of about 0.93; and a diffuser(22) installed on the bottom of the aeration tanks to aerate air(24) to the B-NP fixed body fixed in the water contained in the aeration tanks.</p> |
