PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper in which an unused fastening tape folded back on a back body part and set peelably temporarily on a top sheet can easily be peeled off. SOLUTION: The disposable diaper is provided with a diaper main body 1 having a liquid retainable absorption body 4 between a liquid-permeable top sheet 3 formed of a nonwoven fabric and a liquid-impermeable back sheet 5 and with a fastening tape 40 which is fixed to the side end 15a of a back body part and protrudes laterally so as to fix the back body part 13 of the diaper main body to a front body part 11 when the diaper is used. The protruded part of the fastening tape comprises a fixing part 43 having a male material 47 of a face fastener and a pinch 49 at the tip of the fixing part. The fixing part is folded back onto the surface of the top sheet and is temporarily peelably set thereon with the male material 47 and the pinch is raised on the surface of the top sheet, before the fastening tape is used.
