PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery kind detecting device for efficiently discriminating the kind of a battery mounted on electronic equipment. SOLUTION: A battery voltage detecting part 2a detects the terminal voltage of a battery 10, and a memory part 2b memorizes a first terminal voltage shown when electronic equipment 1 is driven and a second terminal voltage shown when the electronic equipment is not driven. The memory part 2b memorizes the differential current valueΔi between the current value flowing in the electronic equipment 1 when the electronic equipment 1 is driven and the current value flowing in the electronic equipment 1 when the electronic equipment 1 is not driven, and a second internal impedance according to the kind of the battery 10. An arithmetic discriminating part 2c computes a first internal impedance from the differenceΔV and the differential current valueΔi, and by comparing the first internal impedance with the second internal impedance, the kind of the battery is discriminated. |
