FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, apparatuses for secondary cooling in plants for continuous casting of steel to ingots with slab like cross section. SUBSTANCE: plant includes mold; supporting and guiding rollers arranged behind mold, mounted stationary large-diameter drive rollers arranged in housings and small-diameter idle rollers mounted in pairs in four-roller casing between large-diameter rollers with possibility of motion of small- diameter rollers relative to technological axis of plant. Four-roller casing of small-diameter rollers has along its height two casing halves introduced one to another along guiding grooves and dents with possibility of mutual motion and tightened one with another by means of spring-loaded tie rod. Said tie rod is provided with washer engaging with insert mounted in bushing with spring on upper casing half. Insert engages with spring. Four-roller casing is mounted in housings of drive rollers and it rests upon them through bolts screwed into upper casing half. There is protrusion on one casing half; said protrusion is introduced to stationary mounted strut having groove forming together with said protrusion sliding pair. EFFECT: enhanced strength of idle rollers, improved quality of continuously cast slabs, increased efficiency of plant. 5 dwg, 1 ex
