<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To house a plurality of communication opposite parties without varying a spreading coefficient and to reduce the transmission delay of data in the case of applying an M-ary processing to an MC-CDMA system. <P>SOLUTION: An M-ary coding part 12 converts m-bit transmission data #1 to the M-bit code word of an M system (m<M). Spreading parts 13-1 to 13-M spread each of M-bits included in a code word with a spreading code different corresponding to each of M bits and common to the plurality of communication opposite party. A code multiplexing part 14 code-multiplexes the spread M bits and thereafter divides the code-multiplexed bits to the first chip to the N-th chip of the spreading code by each chip.
