PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker necessitating no replacement and allowing repetitive use. SOLUTION: A fixed contact 7 connected with a first electric circuit is provided on one side of an inner wall of a case 1, a bimetal 3 is fixed at a terminal on the other side of the inner wall opposing to it, and a movable contact 9 connected with a second electric circuit is supported by opposing to the fixed contact at the terminal of the bimetal. A plate spring 5 whose one end is fixed to the inner wall of the case is engaged with the terminal of the bimetal to energize the bimetal so as to maintain both contacts in a contact condition. The bimetal 3 is deformed against energization by the plate spring when excess current occurs to release the contact condition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
