PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic head by which assembling man-hours and reduced and assembling accuracy is enhanced, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the magnetic head, a core 6 and a coil 8 are placed in a mount space 14 formed in a slider 4, an ultraviolet ray curing resin 58 is injected respectively between the core and the slider and between the core and the coil, ultraviolet rays 50, 52 are emitted to the ultraviolet ray curing resin to cure the ultraviolet ray curing resin while the core and the coil together with the slider are held on a reference face 42. Further, in the apparatus for manufacturing the magnetic head, a second support means (support member 40) is placed on a first support means (base 34) provided with an ultraviolet ray emission window 38, and the reference face 42 of the second support means supports the core 6 and the coil 8 placed in the mount space 14 of the slider 4.
