摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the synchronizing time when the gears of a transmission are engaged, and to sharply lighten the load on a synchronizing system, in a hybrid system of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This hybrid system is provided with a means that disengages a clutch when a speed change demand arises during the traveling period of the vehicle or sets the transmission to the neutral keeping the clutch in the disengaged state (S11 to S13); a means, that when the transmission is set to neutral, set the gears of the transmission from the neutral to a demanded step waiting for the revolution speed of the input side of the transmission to converge into a hold range in compliance with a demand step for the revolution speed of the output side (S14 to S19); a means, that when the transmission is set to the neutral, control a rotating electric machine in a motor-driven mode or a power generating mode until the revolution speed of the input side of the transmission converges into the hold range, in compliance with another demand step for the rotational speed of the output side of the transmission within a permissible range in relation to the SOC of electricity-storing elements (S14 to S18&rarr;S20 to S24). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
