PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply set a subnet for communicating between subnets when different subnet masks are set between a plurality of subnets of a game house. SOLUTION: An apparatus for setting the subnet mask as a managing information processing unit for setting the subnet to transmit and receive the data via a communication channel comprises a managing information processing unit in the game house, a POS terminal in a subnet, except the subnet having the managing information processing unit, a set pattern storage unit for storing a plurality of subnet mask setting pattern, and a mask-setting processing unit for extracting a plurality of subnet masks from the storage unit, displaying the masks and setting the one subnet mask elected and input from the input unit.
