PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of installing itself on an apparatus as it is by using a metallic battery container and a cover plate 1 as an outerjacketing body of a product by connecting it to an electrode of the power generating element by electrically insulating a power generating element and the battery container from each other and electrically insulating a positive electrode terminal 7 and a negative electrode terminal 3 from the cover plate 1. SOLUTION: This battery is constituted by arranging an outside packing 2 and an inside packing 4 made of insulation on upper and lower surfaces of the metallic over plate 1 to close an upper end opening part of the metallic battery container storing the power generating element by electrically insulating it, arranging a positive collector connecting plate 6 connected to a positive electrode of the power generating element and a negative collector connecting plate 5 connected to a negative electrode and connecting and fixing connecting parts 7a, 3a of the positive electrode terminal 7 and the negative electrode terminal 3 arranged on the outside packing 2 to it through this outside packing 2, the cover plate 1, a through hole 2a of the inside packing 4, terminal holes 1a, 1a and a through hole 4a.
