PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring member made of stainless steel foil having a low contact electric resistance value even if a silver and gold plated layer is not applied to its surface and having high durability and to provide a switch provided with this spring member. SOLUTION: This spring member made of stainless steel foil is constituted in such a way that stainless steel foil is rolled to a thickness of 30 to 70μm by cold rolling and has a dull surface on its surface and surface roughness Rz of the dull surface is 0.3 to 1.0μm. Furthermore, when surface roughness Rz in the direction of rolling of the spring member is A and surface roughness Rz in the direction orthogonal to the direction of rolling is B, A/B is 0.8 to 1.1 in this spring member made of stainless steel foil and the switch is provided with the spring member.
