PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notification and contact method which accurately and early makes a notification or contact with concerned people at fire or first aid and early ensures a life line infrastructure without causing any hindrance to an actual life after that. SOLUTION: A contact button for fire or first aid depressed by a person finding out first aid selects personal data and a transmission destination from information registered in advance in a facsimile machine and the personal data are transmitted to a fire station. When the reception confirmation by the fire station is finished and the selected transmission destination is the first destination, the fire personal data are automatically transmitted for the fire transmission destination. When the selected transmission destination is a first aid transmission destination, the first aid personal data are automatically transmitted to the first aid transmission destination.
